I am taking a photography class at my school and my first project is a self portrait. Now we can pick themes for this such as: relationships, surreal, Victorian, in bloom, shadows, glamour, close up and overlay. I am going to try having a final product for the themes relationships, surreal, glamour and Victorian; but we really have to pick one theme and have one final product. But I love the class so much and it really de-stresses me, brings out my happiness and creative side. So I have done some exploring and research with the themes that I found interesting and had time to take some Victorian self portraits.

It was actually the most warm and beautiful day of the week so Michael and I went on a bike ride earlier that day because it was so nice. We love riding our bikes from my house to Krider Gardens to get on the Pumpkin Vine trail. This trail is about a year old or older but still new. The trail goes for miles so Michael and I biked for forty minutes at least. Funny thing is we ran into our youth pastor who was also admiring the nice weather and caught up. Look at how handsome Michael is.

But after our ride we got dressed, got props and drove to The Old Bag Factory. It's a old little jem in Goshen that is under looked. The place itself was a perfect place to take some old Victorian pictures. We also discovered it had a cafe inside and we are going to try it this Saturday! The dress I wore was actually a dress handed down to my mother so I can't really tell you how old it is or where I got it, but it is really pretty. Sometimes I wish I grew up and lived in the Victorian era. I really love movies like Crimson Peak & Atonement and shows like Reign, The Tudors, The White Queen and Outlander because of their Victorian based background. Hence why I picked it as one of my themes. I did really minimal make up and put my hair up; with a chair, book & flower as props. Right after we were done we went to Honey's (our regular date spot) because it was only five minutes away! Hope you enjoy the pictures we took!
