I Have Some Sad News

So I don't really know how to start such a sensitive topic but I just ask for your open mind and respect. 2016 has really been testing Michael and I it seems like with the Air Force but before Michael left we had yet another test. Michael's dog was outside like usual enjoying the nice weather. But we didn't hear anything but we did notice not seeing him anymore. We came outside to find him, by the side of road, injured. Tank has been trained not to go on the road and he was only on the side of the road. So we believe the driver went out of his/her way to hit Tank and kept driving. We took Tank to vet as fast as we could. He had two broken legs and his analysis was he was going to be all recovered by the time Michael came back home from BMT. Tank was taking medication but he never showed an ounce of pain.
He was getting used to his new routine with his casts when we heard the news. His legs had infections that could not be healed. We were given options to amputate his two legs but he would have a shorter and sad life if it was successful, or put him down. His parents knew what they had to do, they couldn't see him like that. Tank passed away Saturday on June 18th cherished and loved. Rest in peace Tank. I made a gallery below in memory of him. Keep Tank in your prayers please.
