Ducks!

I've mentioned in a previous post but I live near a few ponds. One of those ponds is a home to two ducks (a couple). But one day Michael and I were on a walk and when we were walking back home, we past the pond the ducks live in and they actually started to follow us! We didn't think they would follow us right up to the door but they did. Luckily I had a bread bag full of heels from bread loafs no one eats from work, and was able to feed them. Together Michael and I got to feed the two ducks and after they were full they took a nap in my backyard.

I thought it was over, but the day after they were back! I feed them again and they came closer than before. Almost everyday they have came over and I have been able to feed them. And I can get a little closer each time, my goal is able to pet them one day.
The brownish more camouflaged one is the female because she needs to blend in since she might be a mother one day. The brown/green/ white one is the male because he has colors that pop so he can take the attention and protect the female. You can also tell he is the male because when I feed them he eats more than the female since he is the alpha duck.
Together Michael and I have picked out names for the ducks. We decided to name the female Cinnamon and the male Hazel.
Hazel and Cinnamon Hazel and Cinnamon Hazel and Cinnamon
