Hi it's Rachel and its been awhile. I can not tell you how busy I have been. I've had so much work, school and traveling but we need to catch up.
My spring break (which I really needed) Michael and I went to Florida together! We went to Fort Meyers which is the South Western area of Florida where you can see the sun set. We literally went to the beach every single day! The beach we went to was Barefoot beach which is rated 2nd best beach in America and we saw why! They kept it so clean and there were seashells everywhere! There was also a lot of things to do from standing paddle boarding to jet skiing, we decided to try the standing paddle boarding since we haven't done that before. We also found a tortoise and where she lives so we dropped in everyday to say hi to her. Overall it was such a beautiful beach and there was friendly people. I will be uploading all my photography in my galley so check it out!
We ate out a lot but my favorite meal was a fancy Italian restaurant not too far. And we had a lot of ice cream from Royal Scoop. They always had 30+ flavors an it was all handmade and hand scooped in front of us. So we went there everyday too.
After Spring break it was Michael's Birthday on April 22. He turned 19, he is growing so fast and I am so thankful I can be there by his side for his birthdays and holidays since we wont be able to see each other soon after May because he will be going to basic boot camp for 7-8 weeks. I can still write to him but it just wont be the same, I am so used to seeing him everyday and talking 24/7. He is my backbone, without him I am just simply not myself. But I know I can do it, I just need to get away from everything that reminds me of him so I am not missing him so much. I'm thinking about moving to California over the summer to see my uncle who I've only seen on rare special occasions. That way i'm not going insane and I can spend time with him since I never see him.
I am actually making a lot of new friends, which is hard for me since I am not the type of person that can just put myself out there and make friends easily but I have been trying so hard to let it go, get out of my comfort zone and become the person I've always wanted to be. The first person is Katie, she is so unique from everyone I have every met and I am learning about myself through her. She is not the type of a person to just put her self out there and share everything, like me. She has so many layers and I feel like every time I see her I am getting to know the real Katie better and better. She is so sweet, kind and has a humorous side. Then there's Sammi too, she is so open at first and has a incredibly bubbly persona. She knows how to make me laugh and can always make my day better, plus we work at my schools coffee shop together! And also Abby. Abby and I don't get to see each other often since we only have one class together and we don't even sit next to each other but still enough to have talks here and there. Shes so simple and I can appreciate that, I don't have to figure her out and we actually have a lot in common from both having a long term relationship and enjoying things like arts.
I have amazing news! So I live close to a pond, and that pond is a home for two ducks. Recently the two ducks have been traveling together and ventured in my backyard. I always have a bag of heels of bread loafs that no one eats and feed ducks regularly. When I saw them I was so excited, I grabbed my bread and ran outside. At first they were scared but eventually ate the bread. Ever since they have been coming back for more. Day after day I have been able to get closer and closer to them and my goal is to be able to pet them one day!
I have also been doing a lot more running recently, I am really proud of myself since I was kept in all winter and I hated it. I love running and see new places in my little town. Michael and I have also been going on more bike rides and walks. I honestly enjoy every second I spend with him. But for the most part that is all youve really missed much besides a few photo-shoots that I'll upload on my galley so you wont miss anything! Thanks for reading!
